With Anna Hazare’s agitation filling reams of pages in every newspaper, it’s become trendy to talk about corruptions these days.

The newest entrant is a low-budget Bollywood film that was in the news recently for having Baba Ramdev make a special appearance in the flick. Titled Kranti Fight Against Corruption, it will now have a British-Indian model, Anu Kashyap, playing the role of Sonia Gandhi. “I met Anu on a recent trip to London. Initially, I wasn’t sure if she could act in a Hindi film, but after talking to her, I was convinced,” says the film’s producer, Arun Srivastav.

Strangely, Anu bears no resemblance to the Congress President, but the producer seems to be convinced. “See the pictures of Soniaji that were shot a few years ago, and you will start noticing the similarities. Makeup will further help,” Arun says.

The film will start shooting in September and will release in May 2012. The ‘mahurat’ of the film is scheduled for mid-September and Baba Ramdev will give the clap for the first take. “We aren’t sure about the dates of the mahurat because of Baba Ramdev’s busy schedule. We are still working out how long will his role be in the movie. The special appearance will be between two and five minutes,” Arun says. According to the producer, the b-grade flick will also feature a major star cast, but refuses to share the names, saying, “I’m waiting for the movie to start shooting. Only then will I reveal the actors’ names.”
