The production of the new generation Kia Seltos has commenced in India, ahead of its anticipated launch in January 2026. The first units have been produced at Kia’s manufacturing facility located in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The manufacturing plant commenced mass production in August 2019 and has an installed annual production capacity of 300,000 units

The new Seltos is designed as a big departure from the existing model. It is longer and wider, enhancing its road presence. The wheelbase is also longer to provide more interior space for the occupants. These modifications help in increasing the comfort and increasing road presence, while also ensuring that the SUV feels more stable and grounded on the road.
Regarding design, the new Seltos showcases a more refined and contemporary appearance. It adheres to Kia’s latest design philosophy, featuring a reimagined front fascia, updated LED headlights, and sleeker body contours, yet retaining the aggressive stance. Elements such as flush door handles and new alloy wheel designs contribute to its upscale ensures that the SUV stays modern.

The interior has undergone significant enhancements as well. A standout feature is the expansive panoramic display that integrates the digital instrument cluster and infotainment screen into a single wide unit. Customers will continue to have a variety of engine and transmission options, including both petrol and diesel variants. This ensures that the Seltos accommodates a diverse array of driving preferences, from urban commuting to extended highway travel.
With production now underway, Kia is gearing up for the official price announcement scheduled for early January. The new generation Seltos is anticipated to build upon the solid reputation of its predecessor and maintain its status as a significant contender in the mid-size SUV market in India.
