FIR alleges bestiality against dog; man held in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: Police in Greater Noida have arrested a man in his 30s, and filed a case of animal cruelty, after officials received a complaint that he allegedly “indulged in unnatural activity” with a stray dog, officials said on Wednesday.

Police said an animal activist from a Faridabad-based NGO filed a complaint in the matter on Tuesday. “I came across a video on a WhatsApp group, showing a man indulging in unnatural activity with a stray dog,” reads the FIR, a copy of which was accessed by HT.

The police later traced the suspects with the help of an informer and arrested him. “The suspect, in his 30s, works as a daily wager and resides in Bisrakh,” said Manoj Kumar, SHO, Bisrakh police station.

“The incident took place inside a residential society’s park in Greater Noida West on Tuesday. A case of animal cruelty was registered under Sections of BNS, and further investigation is underway,” he added.
