Earlier, centuries from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill helped India pile an enormous 385/9 in 50 overs after being invited to bat first. The duo added 212 runs for the first wicket, before Mitchell Santner got rid of Rohit for 101. Gill too departed shortly after Rohit's dismissal as New Zealand staged a tremendous fightback which saw India lose six wickets for a little over a 100 runs.
