RCB Victory Parade Highlights: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebration of their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title at the Chinnaswamy Stadium was marred by a stampede as 10 were killed while several had to be hospitalised. The situation spiralled out of control as complete chaos reigned supreme after the officials and police failed to get the huge crowd in control. 

RCB made their way to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium hours after the scheduled time. As soon as the team arrived, the entire crowd started chanting ‘RCB RCB’ and ‘Kohli Kohli’. Virat Kohli did not disappoint as he kissed the IPL trophy, immediately pointing to the crowd as Bengaluru's adopted son soaked in love. Earlier in the day, the city had erupted in joy as Virat Kohli and the RCB squad arrived at M Chinnaswamy Stadium to share their long-awaited triumph with their devoted fans. 

The team had been warmly welcomed by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar at Bengaluru airport and felicitated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha in a traditional Kannada ceremony. However, rain disrupted the event, forcing the players to leave prematurely.

For Bengaluru, a city deeply passionate about cricket, the absence of an IPL trophy for 18 years had become a defining part of its cricketing identity. That wait finally ended on Tuesday night when RCB clinched the IPL 2025 title, defeating Punjab Kings by a thrilling six-run margin in the final. The victory sparked scenes of jubilation, and a grand victory parade was organized to celebrate this historic moment with the city’s ardent supporters.
