1 killed in road mishap

One student was killed while six others, including a woman, suffered injuries in two separate road mishaps.

One student was killed while six others, including a woman, suffered injuries in two separate road mishaps.

In the first incident, a speeding vehicle hit a biker from behind in IP Estate in Central Delhi early on Saturday. “Prabhat Kumar (24), was on his way home when a vehicle hit him on Vikas Marg,” a police official said.

Kumar sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The accused driver fled from the scene along with the vehicle.

The second accident was reported from R K Puram in South Delhi at around 11:15 pm on Friday. According to police, there was a head on collision between a container and a tempo. Six people travelling in the tempo were injured.
