But the people's movement has found its way to other poll-bound states too

In Bengal, Trinamool Congress' Dinesh Trivedi offered to quit the council of ministers to support Hazare's campaign. In Assam, the middle class' support of Hazare is worrisome for the Congress.

"What the Opposition couldn't do in four months, Hazare seems to have done with his four-day fast," said one Congress leader.
