Three die in building collapse

Three persons, including a five-year-old boy, died in two different incidents of building collapse during rain in the Capital.

Three persons, including a five-year-old boy, died in two different incidents of building collapse during rain in the Capital.

A 55-year-old man and his grandson died when a two-storey building collapsed in Sangam Vihar area of southeast Delhi.

Police said the two-storey building was in a dilapidated condition and collapsed on Friday evening during rain.

"Four persons were inside the building when the incident took place. They were rushed to AIIMS trauma centre where two of them were declared brought dead," a senior police officer said.

Satyadev Giri, owner of the house and 5-year-old Shubham died while Rekha, Shubham's mother and a guest, Iqbal, suffered injuries.

In a separate incident, a 13-year-old boy died after the roof of a house collapsed in Aman Vihar area of outer Delhi.
