ICAI signs MoU with Home Science and Higher Education

To provide an opportunity to women CAs to pursue the Ph.D programme, both ICAI and the University have decided to enter into an MoU.

To provide an opportunity to women CAs to pursue the Ph.D programme, both ICAI and the University have decided to enter into an MoU. This is the 97th University/ IIMs /Institution which has recognised Chartered Accountancy qualification for pursuing the Ph.D programme and this is the first women’s institute to do so. Considering the sound practical and technical knowledge of Chartered Accountants, the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, is launching Ph.D. for women members of the ICAI.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims at providing an opportunity to the women chartered accountants to pursue the Ph.D programme in full time and in part time mode.

The MoU was signed by CA. Subodh Kumar Agrawal, President, ICAI and Dr. Sheela Ramachandran, Vice Chancellor, Avinashilingam Institute and other senior members.
