Orissa boy shatters 5-yr CBSE Class X record
Subhankar Mohapatra, a student of the DAV School here, has topped the nationwide Class X CBSE exam, securing 493 marks out of 500. Subhankar broke the previous national record of 98.4 per cent scored by a student in 2000.

rding publicising the student's feat. Subhankar secured 99 per cent in Maths, 100 in Science, 96 in Sanskrit and 98 in Social Science.
KC Satapathy, principal of DAV School, proudly said: “No other student has brought such glory to the school.”
At the All-India level, Chennai region continued to lead the CBSE race with the highest pass percentage (89.44) in Class X results.
The results saw Ajmer and Chandigarh take the second and third slots respectively.
Delhi managed a fifth place with 68.11 per cent.
