West Bengal Election: Haringhata Assembly Constituency 2022

Haringhata is one of the 294 West Bengal Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Nadia district. People of Haringhata voted for West Bengal Assembly Election 2021 on April 17 and the result was declared on May 2.

In 2016, the Haringhata assembly seat had 2,18,824 registered voters. Of the, 1,13,806 were male and 1,05,016 were female voters. 0.9% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2016, 7 candidates were contesting for Haringhata assembly constituency seat. Haringhata was one of 211 seats won by the Communist Party Of India (Marxist). All India Trinamool Congress's Nilima Nag (MALLICK) won the election by defeating Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Ajoy Das by a margin of 21,349 votes.

88.5% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. All India Trinamool Congress's Nilima Nag (MALLICK) got a total of 94,530 votes, while Communist Party Of India (Marxist)'s Ajoy Das got 73,181 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Suresh Sikdar grabbed 15,793 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 49.9%, 38.6% and 8.3% respectively.

In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Nilima Nag (MALLICK) beat Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Biswajit Paul by 13,003 votes.
