90.1% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. All India Trinamool Congress's Gulsan Mullick got a total of 1,01,126 votes, while All India Forward Bloc's Doli Roy got 69,199 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Bhabani Prasad Ray grabbed 16,066 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 53.5%, 36.6% and 8.5% respectively.
In West Bengal Assembly election 2011, All India Trinamool Congress's Gulsan Mullick defeated All India Forward Bloc's Doli Roy by 12,118 votes.
