Almost two months after its theatrical release, Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to premiere on streaming.
Almost two months after its theatrical release, romantic drama Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release on streaming. The film received criticism upon release but was eventually a box-office success.

Cocktail 2 OTT release
Starting Friday, August 14, Cocktail 2 will begin streaming on Netflix. Sharing the update on social media, a post on the streaming giant's account read, “Two's a couple, and three's a Cocktail You've got a date Watch Cocktail 2, out 14 August on Netflix.” This was accompanied by a poster of the film.
Directed by Homi Adjania, Cocktail 2 follows Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, a young couple deeply in love but unsure about marriage. Their vacation in Sicily takes an unexpected turn when they meet Diya's friend Ally, played by Kriti Sanon. What begins as a carefree trip soon turns into an emotional test of trust, love, and commitment.
Cocktail 2's theatrical run
Cocktail 2 released in theatres on June 19, 2026 to largely negative reviews. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, only 23% of the film's reviews are positive. It has a weighted rating of 5 out of 10 on the platform. Cocktail 2 was criticised for its lack of depth, slow pace, and not enough layers in the female characters. The HT review of the film read: “This spiritual successor has the gloss, the glamour, but not the emotional punch. Some drinks are best served once.”
Despite this, the film was a big box-office success. The film opened at ₹13 crore net in India and sprinted to ₹47 crore domestically in its opening weekend. Even as word of mouth did not pick up as expected, Cocktail 2 was able to cross ₹100 crore domestically, on top of $3.7 million overseas. By the end of its run in theatres last week, Cocktail 2 had earned ₹147 crore worldwide. As of August 14, it is the 6th-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
Cocktail 2 is the spiritual successor to director Homi Adajania's Cocktail, a critical and commercial success released in 2012. The original film starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty.
