Even as the internet began calling her his rumoured ‘girlfriend’, his wife, Sunita Ahuja, in her candid style, declared that he has ‘lost his mind’. She also reacted to the video of them being spotted, commenting on how Komal was dressed despite her ‘sugar daddy’.

A paparazzo page posted a video of Sunita being asked about Govinda and Komal promoting a film together. She replied, “The picture must be made first (laughs). Promotions occur after a film is made. But without promotions…now what can I say?” She further commented on both Govinda and Komal, as well as Komal’s outfit.

“Beti ki umar ki ladki ko le leke ghoom raha hai, sharam to aana chahiye thoda isko. Koi standard to hona chahiye. Tumhara sugar daddy itna ameer hain, kapde to dhang ka peheno. Hum log ko dekho kya style mei chalte hain. (He’s roaming with a girl his daughter’s age; he should be ashamed. He must have a standard. Your sugar daddy is so rich; at least dress properly. Look at us dressed so stylishly.) Very bad, he’s lost his mind,” said Sunita.

Komal was not widely known to mainstream audiences before being spotted with Govinda, sparking speculation. She has 15.5k followers on Instagram. Several reports claim that she is from Uttar Pradesh. Money Control reported that she will star in Govinda’s upcoming films Roopa and Duniyadari.

Later, she told Ram Kapoor, “He is my husband, let him do. No other person has the right to comment. I am his wife.” She also added, “Don't you talk about my family! Mera pati hai. Woh 50 se affair kare, tere baap ka kya ja raha hai (He is my husband. Let him do 50 affairs, what is your father losing?)”
