Supportive Parineeti Chopra brings up all issues Raghav Chadha raised in Rajya Sabha after AAP ousting
In his first reaction after being replaced as AAP's deputy leader, Raghav Chadha posted a reel of all the issues he brought up at Rajya Sabha.
If there’s one thing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha is known for, it’s addressing various issues at the Rajya Sabha. In a move that surprised many, the AAP replaced him as deputy leader on Thursday, sending a letter to the parliament secretariat to reflect the change. In his first reaction since the ousting, Raghav posted a reel highlighting all the issues he addressed during his tenure, and his wife, actor Parineeti Chopra, stood in his support.

Raghav posted a video on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) that was a highlight reel of burning issues he raised in parliament. In the video, he addresses the tax burden on the middle class, data expiry issues, paternity leaves, minimum balance penalties in banks, food adulteration, incoming call charges, recharge scams, excess baggage charges by airlines, exam paper leak scams, air pollution, removal of GST on health insurance plans, expensive airport food, gig workers exploitation, delay in health insurance claims, toll plaza looting, data privacy leaks, and more such issues.
The video he posted was captioned with the evil eye emoji and shows him walking out of parliament at the end. Parineeti re-shared the video on her Instagram stories to show her support.

Recently, when Raghav addressed paternity leave at the parliament, the actor shared the video, writing, “My dearest husband, You spoke today not just as an MP but as the dad, I see every single day. We have discussed this so many times. How our baby deserves both parents to be present - to the best of their ability. So when you spoke today, it wasn’t just policy. It was built from the way you parent our child the way you show up without being asked, the way you understand that PARENTING IS SHARED, not assigned.”
Raghav Chadha replaced as deputy leader by the AAP
The AAP on Thursday replaced Raghav as the party's deputy leader with Ashok Mittal amid buzz of alleged differences with the top leadership. Party leaders confirmed to PTI that a letter was sent to the Rajya Sabha secretariat seeking the removal of Raghav from his post in the Upper House. The party also downplayed the ousting, noting how Raghav had earlier replaced ND Gupta.
“Silenced, not defeated,” wrote Raghav on X, addressing the ousting in a video and questioning, “Whenever I get a chance to speak in the Parliament, I raise public issues. And perhaps I raise topics that are not usually raised in the Parliament. But is raising public issues a crime? Have I committed a crime? Have I made a mistake? Have I done something wrong?” He argued that these issues benefit the public and questioned how raising them could harm the party.
For the unversed, Parineeti and Raghav got engaged in May 2023 at Kapurthala House in New Delhi and married in September the same year at The Leela Palace, Udaipur, Rajasthan. In October 2025, their son Neer was born. Parineeti last starred in the 2024 Imtiaz Ali film Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh. She has the Netflix show Talaash: A Mother's Search lined up.
