In a new video shared on Tweak India's YouTube channel, Twinkle Khanna talked about the challenges one faced while designing a kids' room. Twinkle says, “One day they are singing Baby Shark 6000 times a day until you feel like stitching your ears shut and the next day they'll be obsessed with BTS (K-pop group)." She said that it is necessary to have a lot of space in your kids bedroom as they often bump into things. Twinkle then said that she prefers to add bright colours, but switches to muted-toned colours as they grow up.
In the video, Twinkle also told her fans to hide their kids iPad and replace it with books. She also created a play area in a room's corner and said that the kids can play instruments, do drawing, or do activities that they are interested in, in that corner. At the end of the video, Twinkle suggested that parents should use gender-neutral colours in their kids bedrooms.
One fan commented, “Loved this segment. Even though I am not sure if the kids would keep the room neat and tidy but the color combination and the overall ideas are very nice. I love how Twinkle speaks like a very normal person, not like a star.” Another one said, “I doubt if the kids will keep their room this tidy.” One person said, “Loved the idea of replacing iPad with books.”
Twinkle made her acting debut with Barsaat in 1995; and after her 2001 film Love Ke Liya Kuch Bhi Karega she quit her acting career. She has often said that she did not enjoy her stint in films and in one episode of Koffee With Karan, she even admitted, ‘I was a terrible actor’.
She made her debut as a writer with Mrs Funnybones in 2015. She followed it up with an anthology of stories titled The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which was released in 2017, and the fiction novel Pyjamas Are Forgiving, which came out the following year.
