Bigg Boss 16: Sumbul Touqeer’s father urges her fans to evict her: ‘The girl in the house isn't my daughter’

Bigg Boss 16 contestant Sumbul Touqeer's father in a new interview talked about regretting the actor's participation in the show. He also urged fans to not vote for her.

After days of drama between Bigg Boss 16 contestants Sumbul Touqeer, Shalin Banot, and Tina Datta, now Sumbul’s father, Touqeer Hasan Khan has urged viewers to not vote for his daughter. He said he regrets sending Sumbul to reality show. His statement comes days after he was called out for his rude comments on Tina.

It all started when Sumbul, Shalin and Tina engaged in a heated argument in the Bigg Boss house. Later, Sumbul got an opportunity to speak to her father on phone in the confession room. Her father questioned her about everyone saying how he has become ‘obsessed’ with Shalin. While Sumbul said she has no idea about what was happening, later her father told her to break all connections with Shalin and Tina.

Sumbul’s father, who called Tina and Shalin ‘kamine’, in a new interview said he is ready to apologise for his words. He told Indian Express, “I have raised Sumbul in a protective environment. When the offer came, I thought it would be a great means to let her understand duniyadari (world politics). Neither I nor Sumbul have followed the show, and I never realised that something like this will happen. Today, I regret that I chose to send my daughter to the show. It did more harm to her than favour.”

“I know there are people who love her but I think it’s time she should be out. The girl who is in the house is not my daughter. She has lost her positivity and happiness. I don’t want her to go through any grief again. I would thus request her fans to not vote for her. I am praying she gets evicted this Saturday,” he further requested.

Earlier, Sumbul’s father had said that the actor cared about Shalin Bhanot because she found a ‘father figure’ in him.
