Indian Idol's Sawai Bhatt 'honoured' as Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda lauds him
Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, lauded her favourite Indian Idol 12 contestant Sawai Bhatt. Sawai has reacted to her support, calling it an 'honour'.
Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda has a favourite Indian Idol 12 contestant in Sawai Bhatt. Reacting to it, Sawai said that it is an 'honour to receive so much love and affection' from her. Sawai also added that he is 'encouraged by her support'.
Navya Naveli Nanda, recently, had shared a clip on her Instagram Stories of Sawai singing. The video showed Sawai Bhatt performing Teri Deewani by Kailash Kher. Navya had written, "yasssssss Sawai" followed by a bunch of fire emojis.
Speaking to SpotboyE, Sawai said, "It is my honour to receive so much love and affection from the granddaughter of Shri Amitabh Bachchan Sir whose name is Ms Navya Nandaji. I am encouraged by her support towards my performances week on week. It definitely heightens my spirit and motivates me to perform better."
The singing reality show contestant also added, "I am also thankful to Indian Idol 12, a platform that has given me such a wonderful opportunity to showcase my talent and I will try my best to make everyone proud."
Earlier this month too, Navya had taken to her Instagram Stories sharing a clip from an episode of Indian Idol 12 and cheered for Sawai. In the clip, Sawai was seen performing Gadar's song Udja Kale Kawan. Navya had shared the clip with the caption, 'Sawai' and praised him using the hands raised emojis. The Indian Idol 12 contestant is a puppeteer and singer who hails from Rajasthan's Nagaur.
Navya has expressed her disinterest in pursuing a career in acting. Instead, the daughter of Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda wishes to join her father in their family business, Escorts. Speaking with Vogue India, she said, "I would be the fourth generation of the family taking the lead—and the first woman. It is a great sense of pride for me to be carrying forward this incredible legacy left behind by my great-grandfather HP Nanda."
