The fate of two proposed foot overbridges (FOBs) — one each at Hero Honda Chowk and Iffco Chowk on the Gurgaon Expressway — continues to hang in the balance.

Though officials of Huda and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had mutually agreed to hire the public works department (PWD) as the constructing agency, Huda is yet to pass the land transfer file, thereby delaying the project.
The PWD had submitted the layout design to Huda nearly two months ago.
Not divulging the reason for the delay, a senior Huda official, said, “The land will be transferred in a couple of days.”
“Once Huda clears the layout, we will ask the consultant to prepare the detailed project report,” said a senior PWD official. “The 5-metre wide FOB at Hero Honda Chowk will also have facility for two-wheelers, while only pedestrians can use the FOB at Iffco Chowk,” he added.
The PWD official further said the department had written several times to Huda administrator Praveen Kumar and executive engineer Hari Datt Sharma in this regard. NHAI and Huda officials have held three meetings in Delhi and Gurgaon in the last one year, besides conducting a joint survey.
