Boyfriend disappears after Vizag woman declared dead at Hyderabad hospital
Police said the woman worked with a private company and that the couple checked into a hotel on Monday
A man from Visakhapatnam is allegedly absconding after bringing his girlfriend’s body to Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday, police said, adding that a murder case was registered and a probe launched.

The couple were found to have checked in at a hotel at Madhapur on Monday afternoon, said a police officer.
The deceased was identified as Sharon Nikhitha Topno, a private employee also from Visakhapatnam. Her boyfriend, identified as Srinivasa Ravi Teja, left the hospital shortly after Sharon was declared dead and switched off his phone. “On Tuesday morning, we received information from Apollo Hospital, Kothaguda, that the woman was brought to the hospital in an unconscious condition by her boyfriend Ravi Teja, with the assistance of the hotel staff,” a statement from Madhapur police said.
Investigators reached the scene and noticed signs of injuries and swelling on the woman’s face and head. Officers inspecting the couple’s hotel room reportedly found bloodstains on the walls and bedsheet. A Clues Team was called to the spot to collect forensic evidence. Empty beer and whisky bottles were also reportedly recovered from the room.
The woman’s body was sent for post-mortem examination.
The police are suspecting that the couple may have had a serious argument that escalated into assault.
An analysis of Ravi Teja’s mobile phone signals indicated that he was last located in the vicinity of Secunderabad Railway Station, said police, adding that they were also examining CCTV footage from the hotel and its surroundings.
