Delhi election result LIVE: 'There will be Congress govt in 2030', says party

ECI Delhi election results LIVE: As Congress registered a humiliating defeat in Delhi assembly election, its spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said the party “may not be in assembly but it is definitely a presence in Delhi”.

There will be a Congress government in 2030, Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X.

The post read on X: “The results of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections are nothing more than a referendum on Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. Even when the Prime Minister's popularity was at its peak in 2015 and 2020, AAP had won a decisive victory in Delhi.”

“The Delhi election results are not a stamp of approval on the policies of the Prime Minister but it is a mandate that rejects Arvind Kejriwal's politics of deceit, fraud and exaggerated claims of achievements,” it further said.

“The Congress party played a major role in exposing various scams that took place during the Arvind Kejriwal regime. Delhi voters gave their verdict on the twelve years of misrule of the Aam Aadmi Party. Congress was expected to perform better in this election. However, the party has increased its vote share. Congress' election campaign was spectacular. The party may not have won the assembly elections, but it has a strong presence in Delhi, which will be strengthened by the continuous efforts of lakhs of Congress workers. Congress government will be formed again in Delhi in 2030,” Jairam Ramesh's post read.
