Jaipur man beaten to death over minor altercation; three arrested, juvenile detained

Three people were arrested while one juvenile was detained on Wednesday for their involvement in the murder of a 28-year-old man in Rajasthan’s Jaipur after a minor altercation with a teenager carrying eggs for a liquor party, police said.

The deceased was identified as Balveer Jatav (28), who worked as a tile-layer at the Gurjar stall.
According to police, the accused were drinking liquor nearby and had sent the juvenile to buy eggs. During this time, Balveer accidentally brushed against the juvenile, leading to a heated argument. The juvenile allegedly returned with three associates who attacked Balveer with sticks, leaving him critically injured.

Jaipur (South) deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Rajarshi Raj said the incident occurred on Tuesday. Balveer was rushed to Jaipuria Hospital and later referred to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The arrested accused have been identified while a juvenile has also been detained in the case.
Police said two of the arrested accused have criminal antecedents.
