As the election campaign heats up in Himachal Pradesh, allegations are flying thick and fast. Amid the hullabaloo, there is one candidate, forest minister in the outgoing cabinet Thakur Singh Bharmouri, who is campaigning in a unique way.

No venom-spewing, no fiery speeches, but Bharmouri sings and dances around with supporters and electors.

The five-term legislator from tribal Bharmour assembly segment of Chamba district, Bharmouri is seeking a sixth term.

Bharmouri is famous for antics and can’t miss the opportunity to showcase his singing talent, which he did often even as a cabinet minister.

Belonging to the semi-nomadic Gaddi tribe, Bharmouri was a singer with AIR Shimla, before entering the politics.
