‘150 rooms unlivable’

Late on Saturday evening, in an emergency meeting at the Games Village presided over by Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrasekhar, Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit and senior ministers of her cabinet, Delhi government officials deployed at the Games Village stated that 150 rooms in the Village have structural defects in the construction and cannot be used.

Sources told HT that however, there were "enough spare rooms" that could be utilised.The CM directed officials to ensure that electrical and sanitary fittings were fixed properly latest by Sunday afternoon.
