of the Ganges or the Padma river," a top CPI(M) leader said on Wednesday while describing as 'personal views' West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's vitriolic comments against new CAB chief Jagmohan Dalmiya.

Polit Buro member Sitaram Yechury made the statement in a jocular vein while responding to questions on the issue at a press conference in New Delhi.

Interestingly, Yechury, a 'Telugu bidda' (boy), made the statement in Bengali, with scribes immediately demanding a translation.

The Rajya Sabha member from West Bengal said "There cannot be a party line on every issue, whether it is food or sport. He may be the Chief Minister or a Polit Buro member, but he is an individual. Don't connect these two aspects".

Asked about Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee's walkout over the issue in Lok Sabha, Yechury said her move reflected "bankruptcy of ideas as she has nothing else to raise, whereas the Left parties are seeking discussion on major issues every day".
