Mishra, who was speaking at a party workers’ conference at Sahjanwa, claimed that the huge rush at the workers’ conference had taken the shape of a public meeting. Numerating the people- friendly policies of the SP government, Mishra exhorted party workers to carry out the message of the government to the people and to counter the misinformation campaign.

On Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s criticism of Mulayam government and calling it a ‘jeb bharo’ government, State Minister for Urban Development Narad Rai said the Mulayam government had opened the lock of government treasury for the people. It was people’s money and hence was distributed among them.

State Minister Jaiprakash Yadav advised party workers to sink their differences as the party was facing crucial challenges from the opponents.

He said party workers were an asset and no one could ignore them. It was the party’s first workers meeting to galvanise the organisation for the forth coming Assembly election.
