Australian bowler Glenn McGrath and New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming have proved their mettle on the cricketing field many a times, and when they decided to walk the ramp, they stole the show with equal ease.
When McGrath and Fleming played the clotheshorse for fashion designer duo of Nikhil and Shantanu, at a fashion show here yesterday, they set the place ablaze with their charm and dashing looks.
Although the presence of bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty added to the spark, but the show was completely stolen away by the cricketers. Indian traditional costume, accompanied with an Indian beauty escorting them both, made a complete and delightful package for the onlookers. And so was for McGrath, who just couldn't help, but blush, while gazing at the tall Indian models.
"(Walking down with Indian models) It made the job very easy," said McGrath after the event.
Present in the city for the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy, it was a good change for the cricketers. However, the Kiwi captain liked to stick to the fact that playing cricket was easier than modelling, as he was a bit too nervous and conscious of his looks while sashaying down in the Indian attire.
"Its a great experience, its probably a lot easier playing cricket than doing modelling. Now it's a great experience, a little bit nervous because such nice clothes and a great occasion... Well we don't really get a chance to try beautiful clothes like this, let alone wear them and parade them, we are very honoured that they chose us to do it, and well its a bit different to wear, fabric very comfortable, specially with this heat," said Fleming.
