English workshop at BL

MORE THAN two-dozen participants from 16 schools are participating in a two-day Hornby Cascade workshop that began at the British Library on Friday.

A number of participants have been nominated from schools at Indore, Sagar and Sehore.

The programme is aimed at helping teachers of English in their professional development. It focuses on Developing Materials to Supplement Course Texts.

The workshop is completely interactive, skills-based and activity-oriented. The highlight of the programme tomorrow will be presentations by teachers on skills learned during the workshop.

The workshop aimed to train teachers of English who have been teaching children between the ages of 10-13 years of age and have at least 2 years of teaching experience. The activities, tasks, games will help teachers make their classrooms motivating. The programme will conclude with certificate distribution ceremony Saturday.
