Firefighting drill at BPCL plant

A REHEARSAL of firefighting was conducted at the Manglia plant of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in Indore yesterday. The ability of the employees and resources in firefighting was displayed in the rehearsal.

Industrial Health and Safety Indore deputy director Vallabh Kadia was present at the rehearsal. Kadia asked the employees to conduct such rehearsals and training in firefighting periodically. Around 200 litres of foam and four tankers of water were used to put out the fire in an oil tank during the rehearsal.

Also the dummy rehearsal for treatment and escape of wounded people was displayed on the occasion.
