A SOCIAL, educational and cultural organization, Samvedna, will organise a free medical camp in slum areas near Chaufataka in Cantt on November 12.

Talking to HT, secretary of the organisation Ashok Kumar Singh said that the organisation decided to examine the the patients, particularly those who were in family way. A team of senior doctors led by Dr Meena Singh would provide free treatment. Few medicines would also made available to the needy, said Singh.

Nearly, 1000 people live in these slum areas. Secretary further said the organisation was also planning to organise an art competition on November 14.

Marksheets: THOSE WHO took the BA and B Com-II examinations of 2006 can collect their marksheets from the Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education office counters during office hours. The marksheets are being distributed since October 28.

Notice : AU Proctor Prof Jatashankar ordered to remove all the posters, banners, cut-outs installed in and areas around the varsity campus. He said stern action would be initiated against those who failed to do so.

BA LLB (Hons) Part-I (2006-07) Admission: The candidates who have secured 120 marks or above should report for admission between 11 am to 2 pm at the Law Faculty, Chaitham Lines Campus on November 3 and 4. The candidates should bring original documents, caste certificates, photocopies and three passport size coloured photographs besides the draft for fee.
