?Gandhism will remain forever?

STRESSING THE need of mass movement to bring the changes in social set up, the coordinator of People?s Forum Prof RK Mani Tripathi said here that capitalist forces had even divided the various movements into small segments and called upon the leaders of various movements to join hand to launch massive mass movement against anti-people policies of the government.

STRESSING THE need of mass movement to bring the changes in social set up, the coordinator of People’s Forum Prof RK Mani Tripathi said here that capitalist forces had even divided the various movements into small segments and called upon the leaders of various movements to join hand to launch massive mass movement against anti-people policies of the government.

While delivering his views in a seminar on relevancy of Gandhi ideology in age of globalisation, Prof Tripathi said the public movement was the only way to counter the capitalist forces. He claimed that ideology of Gandhi for truth, non-violence and Satryagrarh would remain alive in every age and stressed the need to underline its significance in present political scenario.

Presiding over seminar, Prof Ramdev Shukla said globalisation was beneficial for small group of people while most of the population in the world is at the receiving end and bear the burnt of this process. He said no one could control the capitalism and claimed that relevancy of Gandhi had increase in present contest.

rof Shiv Bhaal Singh of DDU Gorakhpur said, ‘globalisation is a reality’. ‘We were not afraid of the adverse impact of capitalism; we want to improve the shape of capitalism’, he added.

Noted critic Prof Permanand Srivastav highlighted the socialism and said we reached a crucial stage and the society needs another Gandhi to counter the adverse impact of globalisation and capitalism.
