HC pulls up TV channels over stings

The Delhi High Court on Friday slammed television channels for inducing people to commit an offence and then projecting it as a "sting operation" or "scoop". The court was pronouncing judgement in the Uma Khurana case.

Sting operations showing acts and facts that are truly happening may be necessary as a tool of justice, but a hidden camera cannot be allowed to depict something which is not true.
