Tanushree Dutta makes no bones in admitting that she is game for small but saucy performances in films instead of long and boring roles. Check out the lass in a candid talk with HTTabloid.
The latest rumour doing the rounds is you are seeing Randeep Hooda. What's the truth?
That's a news for me. I am hearing this for the first time, but I am not surprised at all as such rumours are part and parcel of celeb life. I have worked with him in the film Naksha. My name is linked to every co-star, so I don't give ear to such rumours anymore.
You have given a steamy performance in song Hichki from film Risk. Did you enjoy doing the song?
Yes, it was fun to do that sexy item number. I compare the song with the one Dimple Kapadia did in Bobby and Madhuri Dixit in Sailaab. I am elated that this song gave a good start to the film and that was my main purpose behind doing it. It's not that the song was just saucy, it had the nuances of classical dance too.
Did you make any special preparation for it?
Of course, I had to, for it was the first time I was wearing a nine meter long saree and a nose ring. It was very difficult to dance in that. But to my relief, the saree was tied in such a fashion that it didn't slip from my body while dancing.
It seems that you now enjoy doing small but sexy appearances in films. Is it a deliberate attempt?
See, these sexy appearances have contributed a lot in the growth of my career. They have given me more popularity than a full-fledged role in a film. The success of pyar ka signal number of Bhagam Bhag provides enough evidence to what I am saying. Also number from Naksha was also a huge hit. I have no hitch in saying that although I am also doing full fledged roles in films, but the real satisfaction comes from these small and hot roles.
