Maneka Gandhi files nomination from Anola

BJP candidate Maneka Gandhi on Saturday filed her nomination papers from Anola parliamentary constituency without any fanfare.

BJP candidate Maneka Gandhi on Saturday filed her nomination papers from Anola parliamentary constituency without any fanfare.

Fifty two-year-old Maneka filed her papers before the Bareilly District Magistrate at collectorate office here. Maneka, who is MP from Pilibhit, reached the collectorate office at about 11.45 AM.

Along with some local BJP leaders and filed her nomination papers, district administration sources said. Varun did not accompany his mother, Maneka during filing of nomination.

Maneka, who was elected from Pilibhit in the last general elections, had vacated her seat for Varun and shifted to Anola parliamentary constituency. Maneka Gandhi is the widow of Sanjay Gandhi and mother of Varun Gandhi.
