Minor stabbed in eye for resisting rape

The sub-inspector and a constable has been suspended on grounds of negligence, for not filing FIR on time.

She was discovered in the fields by villagers and was later rushed to the district hospital.

She has now been referred to a hospital in Kanpur for treatment.

Doctors say, "The left eye is completely damaged. The inner parts of the eye are severely damaged. The Cornea is badly damaged, may not come back to its normal condition," said the doctor who operated who operated upon her.

Both the accused are on the run.
