PSB win men's title in Surjit hockey

PSB earned two penalty corner from forwards Baljit Singh Chandi's stick and won the men's title of Surjit Hockey.

After proving its mettle in the recent national championship, Punjab and Sind Bank today added another feather to its cap by winning the men's title of the Surjit Hockey.

PSB defeated title sponsors Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in the 2-0 to win the prestigious tournament for the eighth time.

The bank men established their supremacy at the very beginning when Mandeep Singh sounded board from a penalty corner in the 10th minute.

Seven minutes later, PSB earned another penalty corner and Baljit Singh Chandi did not commit any mistake to convert the same into net (2-0).

Although IOC earned two penalty corners in sixth and 41st minute but they failed to convert either of them.

In the second half, PSB maintained its grip over the game and did not give any chance to their rivals.
