Railway staff urged to maintain transparency

NE RAILWAY general manager Sukhbir Singh urged the officials and employees to maintain transparency in the work. Inaugurating the week-long Intelligence Awareness Week, Singh said the awareness drive would produce a favourable atmosphere to weed out corruption from the society. He said late coming to office was a crime and instructed the employees to be punctual.

Inaugurating the week-long Intelligence Awareness Week, Singh said the awareness drive would produce a favourable atmosphere to weed out corruption from the society. He said late coming to office was a crime and instructed the employees to be punctual.

GM Sukhbir Singh said department would invest Rs 25 crore to upgrade various services for common man. Delivering his views on this occasion, senior deputy general manager and chief vigilance officer PK Rai threw light on the history and significance of the drive.

He said vigilance was an important organ of the railway. Rai said corruption could be checked by raising awareness among the people. He further said the objective of vigilance department was to punish the guilty and raise awareness about corruption. Chief personnel manager Omprakash threw light on the process of recruitment.
