Rich tributes paid to Ambedkar

VARIOUS PROGRAMMES including seminars were organised here to pay tribute to Bharat Ratan Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his Parinirvan Diwas. Paying his tribute to Dr Ambedkar, Railway officers? club general manager NER Sukhbir Singh highlighted the sacrifices made by Dr Ambedkar for the causes of oppressed and downtrodden people. Singh said Dr Ambedkar toiled hard for social justice, equality and upliftment of weaker section of society by laying emphasis on the education of unprivileged class.

Singh said Dr Ambedkar toiled hard for social justice, equality and upliftment of weaker section of society by laying emphasis on the education of unprivileged class.

He said following the principles of Dr Ambedkar would be the real tribute to him.
Chief personnel officer Omprakash and chief mechanical engineer Dhrupad Ram along with others also paid their tributes to Dr Ambedkar and highlighted various aspects of his life and achievement.

Congress leaders, BSP members garlanded the statue of Dr Ambedkar crossing and organised a programme to pay their homage to the great leaders.

District unit president of BSP Pashupati Nath Ravikul and Jaiprakash Nishad said Dr Ambedkar worked hard to uplift the social status of the members of Dalit community.

They reiterated that mission of social justice of Dr Ambedkar was unfulfilled and pledged to achieve the goal. State vice-president Congress Backward Cell, Jeevan Prakash said teachings of Dr Ambedkar were more relevant in present scenario. He spoke about the efforts of Dr Ambedkar and said he was Bharat Ratan in true sense. Rashtriya Janata Dal leader also organised a programme to pay homage to the freedom fighter Dr Ambedkar. State secretary of the party Pritipal Singh expressed his apprehension that anti-social forces had hatched a
conspiracy to create social unrest in the state.

Republican Party leaders also organised a programme to pay tribute to the great leaders.
