Three LeT terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu

Three terrorists belonging to Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) are killed and a jawan injured in an encounter between security forces and ultras in Doda district.

Three terrorists belonging to Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed and a jawan injured in an encounter between security forces and ultras in Doda district on Saturday, official sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, security forces launched an operation in Gai area of Doda district saturday morning and in a subsequent gunbattle three ultras were killed, they said. A jawan also sustained bullet wounds in the cross-fire.

Security personnel have recovered two AK rifles, a 303 rifle and one wireless set from the site of encounter.

The identity of the slain militants is being ascertained, the sources added.
