Talking with HT Lifestyle, Designer, Ridhi Mehra, says, "Anticipate a blend of conventional and contemporary elements at Indian Summer Weddings in 2023. The latest bridal trend of the year leans towards a relaxed and modern look, featuring bold colours and fusion wear with minimalistic styles. While pastel tones replaced the traditional reds in 2022, they have now given way to more imaginative and unique colour schemes such as intriguing shades of white, mustard, bronze, and blue. The modern bridal colour chart for 2023 also includes blingy 3D decorations, crystals, bustier cuts, interchangeable ensembles, and outfits that convey a story. The upcoming wedding fashion is expected to be more lavish than ever before."

Ridhi further shared, "Wedding outfits for both brides and grooms will feature bright and bold hues, such as fuchsia, emerald green, saffron yellow, and turquoise blue, in 2023. Alternatively, for a more subdued look, pastel shades like lavender, mint green, and powder blue will also be popular for summer weddings, creating a romantic and feminine appearance. The fusion of traditional Indian and Western styles will continue to be a significant trend, with fusion lehengas, sarees, and gowns combining traditional elements with modern styles. Light and breathable fabrics like chiffon, georgette, and organza will be preferred for wedding outfits, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable in the summer heat."

She added,"Floral and nature-inspired designs, such as floral prints, foliage patterns, and botanical motifs, will be prevalent in 2023, bringing a touch of freshness and natural beauty to bridal outfits. Delicate embellishments like pearls, crystals, and beads will add a hint of glamour and luxury to bridal attire, perfect for special occasions. Simple and minimalist styles have been gaining popularity in the wedding industry in recent years, and it's possible that this trend will continue in 2023."

“Brides may opt for sleek and streamlined dresses, with minimal embellishments and clean, modern silhouettes. Sheer and lightweight dupattas can add a delicate and romantic touch to bridal outfits, while still providing coverage and protection from the sun. Fabrics such as chiffon, georgette, and organza are popular choices for sheer dupattas, as they drape beautifully and have a light and airy feel. Brides can choose from a range of colours and embellishments to match their outfits and personal style,” concludes Ridhi.
