Alia Bhatt’s trainer demonstrates yoga asanas using a wall
From Malasana to Parsva Tadasana, here are a few yoga asanas that can be done by the use of a wall at home. Take a look.
Yoga comes with multiple health benefits. It helps in strengthening the muscles, joints and the bones of the body. It also helps in stretching the body and boosting metabolism. The right kind of yoga routine helps in targeting several chronic illnesses and alleviating the symptoms. Yoga, besides strengthening the body, also helps in relaxing the mind. It helps in addressing symptoms of anxiety, stress and inducing better sleep. It helps in charging up the body and creating self-awareness. Sometimes, we need props to perform an asana better. However, a prop can be anything. Anshuka Parwani, yoga trainer to several Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor, shared a video where she used a wall of her home as the prop and gave us major yoga goals to follow.

“Let’s keep it simple and practice some asanas using a wall. Did you ever think a wall in your house could be the perfect prop to help you with your Yoga practice,” wrote Anshuka in the caption as she shared five yoga asanas that can be done with the help of a wall. They are as follows:
Parsva Tadasana
Uttana Shishosana
One Hand Shoulder Opener
Anjaneyasana Variation
Masalana
Anshuka, with the video, further shared the benefits of performing these asanas. She wrote that these asanas help in engaging the arms, shoulders and the lower back muscles, thereby boosting posture and coordination of the body. They also help in quads, groin, hip flexors, glutes and strengthening the knees. Performing these asanas helps in improving shoulder mobility, flexibility and increasing overall balance and focus of the body. Often the tension of the body accumulates in the thighs and the neck region, and these asanas help in addressing it. “These asanas are simple and can be easily practiced at home. So, next time you notice your plain wall, use it innovatively for your next Yoga practice,” Anshuka urged her Instagram family to use the wall at home effectively to enhance their yoga game.
