Lok Sabha Elections 2019: ‘If Constitution didn’t exist, Yogiji would have been ringing bell in temple’, says Akhilesh Yadav
Addressing an election rally on Thursday, former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav attacked the BJP and said that the party had nothing except hatred and lies and ever since they foresaw impending defeat, their language had changed.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath did not distribute laptops as the “Baba CM” does not know how to operate one, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav alleged Thursday, addressing a grand rally in Siddharth Nagar for the SP-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance candidate Aftab Alam.
He attacked the BJP and said that the party had nothing except hatred and lies and ever since they foresaw impending defeat, their language had changed.
Yadav claimed that chief minister Yogi Adityanath deceived shiksha mitras and if the alliance came to power in the state, they would give jobs to all shiksha mitras and double the income of farmers.
“If the Constitution didn’t exist, Yogiji would have been ringing bells in some temple,” he said.
“The grand alliance is going to win this election. BJP spread a lie that better days have come and siksha mitras know what type of better days have come. In fact, the BJP has snatched better days from the people. Baba deceived siksha mitras and when they faced a cane-charge in Lucknow, they must’ve got the taste of tea.”

Akhilesh Yadav accused chief minister Yogi of spoiling the 100 and 102 ambulance services.
“Baba spoiled the ambulances and the 100 and 102 numbers went out of order. Bharatiya Janata Party promised to distribute laptops but they have not fulfilled the promise because Baba (CM Yogi) does not know how to operate a laptop.
Adityanath had taken over as the chief of the Gorakhpur math and temple from his mentor Avaidyanath. Free laptops for meritorious students was one of the poll promises of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. A scheme for distribution of free laptops was started by the previous SP government.
“The BJP said that after demonetisation, corruption will be controlled but nothing happened. Borders are most unsecured under the BJP government.”
During his address, the former chief minister spoke about the Kala Namak brand rice. He said, “We made a brand of Kala Namak rice through Mandi Parishad. Kala Namak rice was the identity of Siddharth Nagar but these people (BJP) were not able to take it forward. Today, development has become stagnant in Siddharth Nagar. We gave funds to Siddhartha University but after us, no fund was given.If we get a chance we will certainly work for development here.”
