Noida authority starts work on road connecting Sector 63 to NH-24
The Noida authority has started work of fixing the deep and dangerous potholes on the half-kilometre stretch between the Electronic Tower intersection and NH-24 T-point connecting Sector 62/63.
The Noida authority has started work of fixing the deep and dangerous potholes on the half-kilometre stretch between the Electronic Tower intersection and T-point of NH-24 at Sector 62/63.

The authority said that the recarpeting work will cause disturbance to commuters for the next few days and traffic movement will be obstructed. Officials said that the road will be closed for traffic from both directions.
“The work of fixing the bad patches on both sides of the road will take a maximum of 10 days. We will block traffic movement partially. At present, we have requested the traffic police to block the traffic coming from NH-24 to Noida for next three to five days. Once blacktopping work is complete, we will allow traffic movement. Similarly, we will block the traffic heading from Noida to NH-24 for four to five days,” PK Garg, project engineer of the Noida authority, said.
The stretch in question has been a big problem for thousands of commuters from sectors 62, 63, 65, 66, 71 and 77 who use the NH-24 via Electronic Tower intersection.
Garg said,“The beautification work of the stretch will also be done simultaneously. Horticulture officials have started greenery work on the central verge and at the roundabout near the underpass. Officials of the electricity department will erect poles and lines soon.”
“We have promised to open this newly built underpass by October-end before which entire lanes, roads, dividers and roundabouts will be beautified to make it a model junction,” Garg said.
Traffic jams, accidents and machinery damage to vehicles have been a daily phenomenon on this road for the last several months, since the construction of underpass and metro track was started a year ago.
“Even our efforts to drive safely on this small stretch fails, as everybody is in a hurry and rash driving by auto drivers complicates the issue. We are waiting for the subway to be opened,” Nishant, a commuter, said.
