Maintaining a trend of low Covid-19 cases for over two months, the number of active Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra has come to below the 50,000 mark, data for January 4 shows. For the last 19 consecutive days, the state has been reporting fewer than 4,000 cases. The ratio of active cases compared to the total cases reported has now dropped to 2.5% against 26.33% recorded on September 17 when the state had touched a high of 3,01,752 active cases.
