Unemployed youth arrested for molesting landlord's daughters

Police have booked an unemployed youth on the charges of molesting the daughters of his landlord, one of whom was a minor on Thursday night.

Police have booked an unemployed youth on the charges of molesting the daughters of his landlord, one of whom was a minor on Thursday night. The accused, Sunny Masih, gained entry into the victim's rooms by stealth and tried to molest them. However, the girls' scream alerted the parents.

The accused has been booked under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354-A (sexual harassment and punishment for sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code on a complaint from Sonia, a resident of Nikka Singh Colony and the mother of the two girls, at the Cantonment Police Station.


"At around 2am, I was awakened by a scream from the first floor of my house. We saw the accused climbing the stairs to my daughter's room," the complaint adds. Cantonment police station assistant sub-inspector Sangeet Kaur, the investigating officer of the case said the accused had been arrested. "He is a tenant at the victims' house and is jobless at the moment. Investigations are on."
