In a leaked Bigg Boss season 11 video, Hina Khan is seen passing demeaning comments on south Indian female actors, leading to censure from actors such as Khushbu and Hansika Motwani. Hina Khan can be seen telling the housemates, “In the south, they want female actors who are bulging. This is the reason why I refused two big films. They want actors who can wear sari and the fat is seen bulging.”
In the video, she goes on to say, “They do pay a lot. I said no to two films out of which, I regret refusing one. It was with Venkatesh. The actor who was cast opposite Karisma Kapoor in Anari, and Mahesh Babu. It was a super hit film. The two actor had come together on screen after years.”
Hina here seems to talking about the 2013 Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which had Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Anjali as leading ladies.
They need lessons from south on how to be dignified..That's why they remain where they are n our girls zoom past them..🙂🙂 https://t.co/PVJ7Gt0lSD— khushbusundar (@khushsundar) October 27, 2017
She also explains that Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh did not come together for a film for long only because of the fan fights. She also explains how actors now learn Tamil, but before they used to say “1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,” in place of dialogues.
This bit has so far not been broadcast on television and surfaced on Twitter on October 26. Hansika Motwani gave a befitting reply to Hina Khan’s comments and wrote on Twitter, “What is this suppose to even mean? How can she even degrade south industry like this ? #shamehinakhan. Doesn’t she know a lot of Bollywood actors hv worked & are working in the our south industry ! Shame on you #hinakhan for trying 2demean us. As an actress from the south industry, I would like to say I’m very proud be from our south industry and whatever #hinakhan is saying our pure bullshit #pleasegetyourtactsrightgirl. (sic)”
Khushbu also took to Twitter and wrote, “They need lessons from south on how to be dignified..That’s why they remain where they are n our girls zoom past them.”
