Federer flies into 3rd round

Top-seed and title-holder Roger Federer coasted into the third round at Wimbledon on Wednesday with a routine 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 win over Ivo Minar of the Czech Republic.
Federer will play the winner of the tie between Germany's Nicolas Kiefer and Alessio di Mauro for a place in the last 16.
The Swiss star was in a different class to the overmatched Minar, but the Czech player's rapid style of play between points had Federer shouting in frustration at times.
Each of the first two sets went to 4-4 before Federer smoothly stepped up a gear to move ahead.
That effectively ended the match as the double Wimbledon champion raced to a 5-0 third set lead in just 15 minutes and then finished off the job in style on his own service.
Federer has only lost 17 games in his first two ties and has yet to drop his serve.
"I was consistent, played all right and held on to my serve," was Federer's assessment of his own game.
"I held on to my serve and the breaks came at the right time. But it was tough to get the rallies going."
