MCZMA writes to BMC asking to verify alleged CRZ violation on proposed Malabar Hill reservoir reconstruction

The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority has written to the district collector and BMC commissioner over a complaint regarding alleged violation of Coastal Regulation Zone rules at Pherozeshah Mehta garden for the proposed reconstruction of Malabar Hill reservoir. The complaint alleges that the construction of the reservoir and other related works are in violation of CRZ rules. The MCZMA has asked the authorities to verify the complaint and take appropriate action if violations are found. The BMC has stated that they will review the details of the complaint before commenting.
