A senior police official said there were many things that the SIT achieved in its investigation that have marked a change, including the fact that it was able to file a charge sheet in the Kalburgi murder case.

The SIT, investigating the case, stated this in a charge sheet it filed in the district court of Hubballi-Dharwad on Saturday.
Public prosecutor Sunil Gonsalves said the group to which the accused belonged was also involved in the murders of Narendra Dabholkar, Govind Pansare, Gauri Lankesh and MM Kalburgi.
