Sotheby auctions off artworks for USD 676 million after Macklowe divorce
A painting by Mark Rothko sold for USD 82.5 million (72.6 million Euros) making it the most expensive item of the evening. The collection was previously owned by real estate mogul Harry Macklowe and his former wife Linda.

Deutsche WelleSotheby’s London auction house to sell British seascape by painter JMW Turner
British painter JMW Turner's seascape painting can currently be viewed at Sotheby's London auction house and is expected to sell for between £4 million and £6 million. Aside from a brief auction in New York in 1945, the painting hasn't been displayed publicly in over a century.

Texas ranch heiress' art collection, worth about $150 million, up for auction
Including works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Franz Kline, the art collection of Texas oil and ranching heiress Anne Marion will be up for auction this spring in New York. Sotheby's said three masterworks at the heart of the collection are expected to each sell for over $20 million.
